The Power of Resilience with Robin O’Grady

One thing most people agree upon is that life has tough moments – sometimes, seemingly unbearable. The question that arises is how some people can handle or recover from these situations more quickly than others. The power they hold is in their resilience – “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.”. Robin O’Grady shares how her experiences shaped her resilience and the impact that has made in her success. She will share strategies for resilience, with practical tools to put into place that will increase the resilience within you.

Squatology with Lynne Skilton-Hayes

The squat, an exercise born from Olympic lifting, is done by many general population gym goers as a strength training program staple. And yet, so few people in the gym that work out regularly can perform the squat correctly? How is this possible when our children as young toddlers have the perfect squat and yet, have never been taught how? This workshop will delve into the biomechanics of the squat range of motion and provide corrective exercise ideas that will help with issues such as lack of mobility and muscle substitution patterns/ muscle imbalances that occur that can lead to incorrect squat technique.
